Several days after disembarking we are still trying to work out the correct route to the Bay Tree Dining Room....and how does one get to the Saffron Dining Room again?? I am so confused that I have decided to head dining up under one banner - just in case we get the photos mixed up! The locations and route to the dining room (we were in Bay Tree) were a huge and most frustrating disappointment. I mean we are not psychic P&O....!
Quite simply there are three main dining rooms: -
Bay Tree (aft deck 6 approached by a one way no exit lobby that I guarantee you will end up in having got out of the lift and been left wondering "where did the ship go?". You will want to kick the ship's cat with frustration after you've done it 5 times...not that I recommend that of course!)
Saffron - midships' ish on deck 6 and the main problem causer of this deck that it basically makes it a no-through way to get to the Bay Tree. Whoever had a hand in this little blip must have been involved in Arcadia. Enough said. Why, why, why P&O could you not have simply had a connecting corridor running starboard or port - was it really impossible to sacrifice a few feet of your ship wide galley to aide your guests in their navigation? Big big mistake that just causes confusion and extra leg work - especially not acceptable for the elderly or those with less mobility.
Cinnamon - we found this once. If anyone has photos we'd be happy to publish them!
Our advice? Take your sat nav!!!
Seriously though, and location aside, the dining rooms are beautiful. Although we missed the grandeur of the 3 tier chandelier'd dining rooms of RCI, all three were beautifully designed.
