The following information was taken from the Cruise Services Directory found in the cabin on Navigator:

"Tipping is a personal matter.  We have established the following guidelines to help you determine the
appropriate consideration for staff members who have served you well during your cruise vacation"

Dining Room Waiter  $3.50 per guest per day
Assistant Dining Room Waiter  $2.00 per guest per day
Stateroom Attendant  $3.50 per guest per day
Suite Attendant  $5.75 per guest per day
Head Waiter  $0.75 per guest per day
Beverages  A 15% service charge is automatically included for beverages

Tipping in other dining venues and for room service at the guest's discretion

Tip:  We had paid already for our tips to be included however we wanted to add extra tips to the staff that
had served us so well.  We asked them whether they would prefer dollars, or perhaps Euros which are
stronger at the moment.  It was up to them and they decided on Euros.  Obviously the pre-paid tips were in
dollars so we couldn't do anything about that.  We overheard one gentleman explaining to his steward that
he only had sterling left, and asking if she minded.  Needless to say she was delighted with UK sterling as it is
nearly $2 to ever £1 when we went.

So if you are in Europe and have some Euros left over, don't be afraid to ask the staff if they would prefer
them.  All our staff said they would and we overheard that others were very pleased with Euros.

I also confirmed from one of our staff members that they do get 100% of the pre-paid tips.  The amounts are
paid into their bank account on pay day.

Re: the 15% gratuity on drinks, this tip is shared out amongst ALL staff apparently.  Only if you add an
additional tip on your bill for your barman will that go to him alone.  This is to ensure that all staff, especially
those working behind the scenes, can benefit from tips....which seems fair to me!
