person. The food was superb....unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take a menu. On the evening we dined, Captain and Mrs Bang were seated at the next table. I sincerely hope that our laughing didn't spoil their dining experience. We weren't excessively loud or anything like that, but a comment my husband made when discussing our day had us giggling uncontrollably for ages! The waiters were superb and really make you feel special. Lovers of the flourless chocolate cake will be pleased to know it is served here.....and was delicious! We had originally booked for 8.30pm but as our tummies were grumbling at 7.00pm I called the restaurant and they were able to offer us a window table at 7.30pm. The sun was just setting so the waiter closed the blinds for us, but raised them later when the sun wasn't causing such a glare. They serve you a fantastic bread basket with oil and various dips to begin. There is a good selection of food options, and the presentation is superb. It's rather difficult to choose a dessert so it was a great surprise to see on the menu a dessert plate with a little bit of everything on. The steak and chicken were both excellent. We couldn't fault the food in any way. So if you do decided to dine in Portofino's.....enjoy! |
