| Schooner Bar |
| The Schooner Bar was much smaller than the one on the Brilliance. We were quite surprised as this had seemed to be the main bar of the ship on our last cruise. We had our first drink in here a few minutes after embarking. Whilst walking through the ship the crew had all welcomed us aboard and been smiling. When we reached the Schooner Bar the barman was on the phone and was not at all welcoming, maybe because we had boarded early! He seemed a bit put out that he had to serve us and didn't talk to us at all during service. He kept looking over his shoulder when handing us the bill booklet and it was obvious his mind was elsewhere. As we had just boarded we weren't going to let it bother us but it was so noticeable having just received warm welcomes from all the other crew we had just encountered. In the evening, there is a pianist. We didn't get to check this out however because we could never get a seat. During the day they hold the Quizzes and Trivia here too. We liked the Schooner and it seemed to be a very popular watering hole. Get there early in the evenings though to get a seat! |
